The problem with this question is that it sets up just about every man to fail and give the wrong answer. The truth of the matter is, she already knows and thinks she looks good because she has probably spent a lot of time picking out and putting together the perfect outfit. This time also includes the time she spent shopping and going from store to store to find the absolute perfect outfit. So, in asking you how she looks, all she really wants is for you to confirm what she already knows to be true.

Most of the problems arise when you tell you wife or your girlfriend that she looks fine. Fine is never a word that a woman wants to hear when it is describing her physical appearance. This usually happens when you are rushed or in a hurry to get ready and leave because you just got home from work. You say fine when she asks you this because you feel you do not have time to come up with any other type of response.

The best thing you can do as a man is to try to completely erase the word fine from your vocabulary when you are talking to a woman, better to be safe than sorry. Telling a woman she looks fine does not make her feel pretty. If you spent a lot of time and effort finding the perfect designer clothes to wear so your lady would think you looked amazing, you would probably be let down if she told you that you looked fine. Fine is a lackluster word, when it is describing womens or mens clothing. The real solution to this age old problem is simple; give the woman you love a compliment, daily. Just as she compliments you on your new clothing, you should do the same for her.

Every woman wants to know that the man they are with finds them attractive, so stop being evasive and let her know that you think she is beautiful.
